Claudio Norberto López, founder and director

Claudio Norberto López

Claudio has more than 30 years of local and international experience in the areas of Procurement and Logistics (Supply Chain), contracts, production, consulting, training and project management.

He implemented high efficient and effective organizations, procedures, processes and tools which resulted among others in working capital optimization, multi-million-dollar savings and risks reduction.

Claudio developed his local and international professional activity in large consultancy companies (EY), energy (AES), petroleum (ExxonMobil), and in several medium-sized engineering, construction, manufacturing and services companies.

At EY, Claudio acted as PMO and Senior Process Consultant in projects held in Argentina, Peru, USA and India. He has also served as Corporate Procurement Manager (Global Supply Chain Manager) for AES Corporation and as Supply Director and Systems Manager in AES Argentina. During his time at ExxonMobil, he has served as Refining Procurement Manager in Argentina, and as Regional Strategic Sourcing advisor for ExxonMobil in Belgium.

Claudio is a mechanical engineer (UTN) and holds certifications for CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management (APICS) and CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager (ISM). He completed his postgraduate degrees in Negotiation and Conflict Management (ESADE), Economics of Oil and Natural Gas (ITBA) and in Health and Safety at Work (UBA). He has also been a lecturer in seminars and training in Argentina and abroad.

Claudio Palazzolo, director

Claudio Palazzolo

Claudio has 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. He has developed his career at major oil companies, including more than 20 years at ExxonMobil with key specialization in the Procurement area. He has served as Procurement Manager for Upstream (exploration and production) and Downstream (refinery, logistics, transportation and marketing). He also has extensive global experience in Procurement Process re-engineering, contract management and solving commercial and contractual problems and controversies, as well as managing claims. To that end, he was responsible for international claims in the Kashagan project in Kazakhstan, one of the most important upstream projects in the world.

Claudio holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Administration from the Krannert Graduate School of Management of Purdue University, and is an Industrial Engineer from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). He has key skills in People Management, Leadership in multicultural environments, Strategic Planning, Negotiation, Change Management and Teamwork. He is proactive, practical and results oriented.

Claudio was a guest speaker at the “China Sourcing Summit on Petroleum Equipment” held in Beijing, focusing on business opportunities for Chinese suppliers in Argentina, as well as cost reduction strategies in procurement and development of win-win relationships with suppliers. He is fluent in English, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish (native). He has completed international projects as an expatriate in the United Kingdom, Brazil and Kazakhstan.
